With our Dexam Supreme Range, the top-quality stainless steel finish does a lot of the work for you with it being dishwasher safe. However, we do have a few extra tips and tricks to keep your roasting pan in perfect condition!
Preheat with Purpose:
Preparing your pan properly is a small but important step in the process. Preheating your pan with a thin layer of oil or butter helps to stop stubborn food particles sticking to the surface, making the clean up afterwards a lot easier.
Don’t Wait to Soak:
After a satisfying roast, it’s tempting to leave the pan to clean up later but soaking it right away is a quick way to make cleaning easier. Once it’s cooled down, fill the pan with hot water and a small amount of mild dish soap. This loosens grease and any food that’s cooked on to the pan. Avoid leaving it to soak for too long though, as excessive soaking can dull the shine.
Perfect your Scrubbing Techniques:
For the best results, choose a soft sponge or non-abrasive scrubber to clean the surface of your roasting pan. Avoid steel wool or harsh scrubbers, as they can scratch the stainless steel, leaving it more prone to rust or stains over time. For stubborn spots, try a bit of baking soda. Sprinkle it onto the pan, add a few drops of water to make a paste and then scrub gently.
Dry Immediately:
Once your pan is clean, don’t let it air dry as water spots can leave marks. Use a soft towel to thoroughly dry your pan right away. This keeps it looking polished and helps avoid rust.
Store it Away Safely:
After all of your cleaning efforts, the last thing you want is for your pan to get scratched or dented in storage. Place a soft cloth or paper towel inside the pan to prevent scratches if you’re stacking it with other pots or pans. With just a bit of care, your Dexam stainless steel roasting pan can stay in pristine condition, ready to create countless delicious meals.
By following these steps, you’re not only keeping your pan looking great, but you’re also ensuring it performs well for many years to come.
Happy Roasting!
