Vegan - Chai French Toast

Made with French Bread, this Vegan French Toast with its deep tones from the spiced chai help to create many complex and deep flavours, ideal when looking for the perfect brunch.

Vegan- Chai French Toast

  • 250ml of non-dairy milk
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of active yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons of chai spice
  • ½ teaspoon of ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 6 slices of 1-inch French bread

Preparation method

  1. Start with a medium to large mixing bowl and add all the ingredients apart from the bread into the bowl. Using a whisk, whisk together all the ingredients.
  2. Taking your frying pan of choice, add your vegan cooking oil the pan before placing onto a medium heat.
  3. Take your pre - sliced bread and with one slice of bread at a time, place each side of the bread into the mixing bowl with the blended ingredients for 10 seconds on either side. Making sure that both sides of the brad are covered, place the dipped bread onto the hot pan and cook on either side for a few minutes at a time.
  4. Continue with the remaining slices of bread.
  5. Serve the slices of French Toast, with maple syrup and fresh fruit of your choice.
