Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

A healthy and delicious snack or ingredient added to yummy dishes, use our recipe to transform your left over pumpkin seeds into a home roasted treat.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

  • Seeds from 1 pumpkin
  • Sea salt
  • Olive oil

Preparation method

  1. When scoping out the inside of your pumpkin, place the seeds into a bowl. Once the pumpkin has been scooped, go through the seeds, making sure that no fibre from the inside of the pumpkin is mixed in.
  2. Give the pumpkin seeds a quick rinse in a bowl of water.
  3. Taking a large baking tray, spread the pumpkin seeds evenly over the surface of the baking tray.
  4. Pour your olive oil over the seeds, before sprinkling with sea salt. Here you could also add spices to the seeds and chilli flakes- the option is up to you.
  5. Mix together the seeds with the oil olive and the seasoning until the seeds have been coated.
  6. Place your baking tray into a preheated oven at 180°C for around 10 minutes or until they have turned light golden brown.
  7. Remove your pumpkin seeds from the oven and allow to cool.
  8. Place your pumpkin seeds into an air tight container to store.
