Make yourself a batch of delicious scones filled with cream and jam before sitting down to watch the Wimbledon this summer!

Ingredients
225g of self-raising flour
A pinch of salt
55g of butter softened
25g of caster sugar
150ml of milk
Cream to serve
Strawberry jam to serve
Preparation method
Start by preheating the oven to 220°C.
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, salt and butter together, mixing to make sure the ingredients are free of lumps.
Once the ingredients have been mixed together, add the sugar and milk, stirring with a spatula to create a dough.
On a lightly floured surface, turn the dough out and lightly knead. Make sure the dough is even and around 2 inches in height.
Using pastry cutters, cut out 10 rounds of pastry before placing onto a greased baking sheet on your baking tray. Pop tray into the preheated oven to bake for 12-15 minutes.
Once scones are cool, use a bread knife to cut them open, preparing to add the cream and strawberry jam before serving. Serve and enjoy!
