Surprisingly quicker and more straight forward to make than you originally thought. Serve up your homemade hummus to visiting guests this summer or add to pitta for a healthy lunch.

Ingredients
200g of canned chickpeas
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
Salt
1 tablespoon of tahini
4 tablespoons of water
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of paprika
Pitta bread- optional
Preparation method
Start by draining your chickpeas in a colander and rinse well.
In a blender, add the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, tahini and the water. Blend all the ingredients together until you have created a creamy paste.
Add a splash more of lemon juice, along with the garlic, cumin and salt to season. Turn the hummus out onto either a plate or a large bowl. Using the back of a spoon try to smooth the hummus. Drizzle the hummus with olive oil before sprinkling with the paprika ready to serve.
