Gingerbread Eggnog White Russian

Nothing quite says Christmas than a glass of eggnog while wrapped up under the blanket in front of an open fire.

While you are getting into the festive spirit and preparing for the big day, next time you go to plan the meal or wrap the presents, pour yourself a large glass and get the Christmas soundtrack on and turned up to full volume.

Gingerbread eggnog white Russian
PREP TIME COOK TIME 5 Minutes MAKES 2 Cocktails
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon for rimming around the glasses
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar for rimming around the glasses
  • 114ml of eggnog
  • 114ml of vodka
  • 114ml of Kahlua
  • 3 teaspoons of molasses
  • ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • Whipped cream for the topping- optional
  • Molasses drizzle for the topping- optional

Preparation method

  1. Mix cinnamon with the sugar before tipping onto a small plate.
  2. Wet the rim of each glasses and dip the glass onto the cinnamon-sugar mixture so there is a coating around the rim of the glass.
  3. Using a cocktail shaker, place ice into the shaker, pour in the eggnog, vodka, Kahlua, ginger and molasses before shaking to combine it.
  4. You can tell when the mixture has been fully shaken as the whole of the outside of the cocktail shaker will be cold to touch.
  5. Pour the thoroughly shaken mixture into the glasses that you have prepared earlier and top with the whipped cream.
  6. Lightly drizzle the molasses on top of the whipped cream and you are ready to enjoy your festive cocktail.
