Dehydrated Banana Crisps

Dehydrating vegetables and fruits, turning them into a healthy treat has been growing in trend over the recent years. But how do you dehydrate if you do not own a dehydrator? This recipe allows you to make yummy banana crisps in your oven, the perfect guilt-free snack.

Ingredients

  • Bananas
  • Water
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice

Preparation method

  1. Start by taking your bananas, using as many bananas as you wish.
  2. Place the bananas into a bowl with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  3. Remove the bananas from the bowl and place onto a paper towel to remove any excess water.
  4. On baking paper or a non-stick mat, place the bananas on your roasting or baking tray, place the prepared bananas.
  5. At 150°C place the bananas into the oven and bake slowly for 5 hours, before removing the tray and flipping the bananas. Turn the oven off before placing the bananas back into the oven to crisp overnight.
